My son's Arctic Cat 700 TRV wouldn't start today; it was just clicking, but nothing happened.

Turns out, his trickle charger had somehow wiggled out of the wall socket. With those cold nights we've had, his 5yo battery got totally zapped and won't even charge back up. Ouch! The new one is on order.

Just a reminder, boys, even in winter, fire up your ATV every month or so, and definitely double check that trickle charger connection! Don't make the same dumb mistake my son did lol

I faced a similar problem with my Arctic Cat 700 a few winters back. During a cold spell, the trickle charger came unplugged and drained the battery entirely. I got a new battery, which solved the issue, but I definitely learned my lesson: always make sure the charger is securely connected and start it up regularly, even during the winter months. It helps keep the battery in good shape and ready for action

Thanks for the heads-up. Cold weather drains batteries fast. A monthly start and a snug charger plug can really save you some trouble. Good call getting the new battery on the way!

So don't take this as hate, accidents happen, but winter has nothing to do with this, the wiggling out part does. A friend of mine was in a somewhat similar situation where his kids somehow managed to yank on the cable which ripped it off the wall. Fortunately, he had one of those smart thingies and got a notification that the device is offline, so he just plugged it back in. Might consider upgrading to something like that.
